WATCHLIST adds: Celanese Corporation (CE) 38.30 -2.97 (-7.20%) ... Cramer likes chemicals, we like dips!
Celanese Corporation is on the DIP....Cramer pumped chemical stocks tonight, we did some quick research and this dipper stood out for obvious reasons....
CE
38.30 -2.97 (-7.20%)
S&P keeps buy rating and target of $46 ... and hey, the DIPfolio lacks a "chemicals manufacturing play"....here goes! CE After Hours: 37.90 -0.40 (-1.04%) - Jul 19, 7:24PM ET ....
This could really be a nice setup... It had caught my eye when looking through some earnings picks... but I hadn't noticed how much it's dipping. I'm just not sure what to think with earnings on the 27th... I'll have to look at the chart more... part of me says it could be very risky with earnings around the corner... but at the same time CE has good record for beating EPS and Revenue... approx 75% beat rate for both.
BOTD, your calling quality has gone down. You called two wrong picks this week out of the two added to watch list this week!!! You wanted to buy MTW and not TEX!!! and now you asked CE at 38.30 and it is at 36...then you come out and say you wanted it at 36 !!! That's funny and very immature.
Come on, everyone makes mistakes... you have to admit, a 7.2% drop is a very attractive entry point, coincidentally it has dropped another 5% today. You have to pull the trigger sometime, you will win some you will lose some. The fact of the matter is BOTD sees CE as a winner with potential to profit at 5 and 10%. If you bought yesterday you saved 7% and if you waited until today, you got lucky and saved 12%. Both seem like value entries.
also on CE....downgrade at GOLDMAN today...but check the price target.
Celanese (CE - Cramer's Take - Stockpickr - Rating) downgraded at Goldman Sachs to Neutral from Buy based on valuation and uncertainty regarding Clear Lake facility. Shares are up 92% since added to Buy list on November 27. See uncertainty regarding the timing of the restart of company's Clear Lake facility, potentially affecting 2008 earnings. Maintained $45 price target.
I am not into CE, but I think MTW is not a bad play. I think the competition has them always on heels. They have very good growth prospects.Like that 'global' thing.
