JANCO upgrades Energy Conversion Devices (Nasdaq: ENER) from Market Perform to Accumulate. Price target slashed from $72 to $45.
JANCO analyst says, "Based on the results reported by other solar companies such as First Solar (Nasdaq: FSLR) and SunPower (Nasdaq: SPWRA) and ENER's ongoing business momentum, we expect the Company to comfortably meet consensus estimates. We expect the market to react favorably to good results now that ENER's stock has pulled back from north of $75 per share a quarter ago to current price in the mid-thirties. Although not immune to the difficult macro environment, ENER's focus on BIPV with its flexible substrate thin films should put the Company on a relatively strong footing. While not changing our estimates for FY2009 and FY2010, we are bringing the multiples more in line with the rest of the group."
Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. (ECD) commercializes materials, products and production processes for the alternative energy generation, energy storage and information technology markets.
BOTD, What would happen if the Govt. bails out GM?
FNM/ FRE/ AIG scenario doesn't repeat? I thought GM is cheap here too today morning, but Govt. involvement means company survives, shareholders get killed? No?
Ofcourse, there is risk/ reward ratio for any play.
